Taunton Deane Borough Council

GEM Associates was engaged by Taunton Deane Borough Council to review its current housing staffing structure (including the DLO Management) and present options for change which would allow the organisation to address existing problems (particularly with regard to estate management and maintenance ) and to provide a workable framework regardless of the outcome of the ongoing options appraisal for the future of the Council's stock.

The project identified some opportunities to make savings and for the transfer of staff between a number of Departments to create a more cohesive housing service. The final report was delivered and the proposed new structures were accepted by the Council.

We were pleased to be able to assist the Council in this major undertaking and were subsequently successful in tendering for a project to review the Housing Department's policies and procedures and deliver an on-line system to assist staff in the future.
