About GEM Associates

GEM Associates has been established for over 10 years providing specialist services to the public housing sector.

The company's founder, Eric Sharpe, enjoyed a successful career in local government building a wealth of experience in all aspects of the housing service. He moved into the private sector to develop his own ideas around information management and delivery and repairs diagnostics (including designing the first PC based diagnostic system for non technical staff).

The Company has delivered high quality consulting services to a range of different hosuing landlord services as well as tenant led organisations. We have worked in association with a number of leading sector consultancies and have delivered innovative solutions to satisfied clients. A number of our clients have engaged us for more than one project.

Recent work has centred around change management and the need to deliver innovation alongside good budget management. There is an increasing focus on the role of tenants and residents in shaping and scrutinising services and we are able to offer relevant expertise in both of these areas. Eric was recently a guset speaker at the Housing Quality Network's annual conference on tenant scrutiny.
